Will County Summer Internship Program

Exciting Updates to Share

The Will County Summer Internship Program isn’t just about filling positions; it’s about igniting passions, forging pathways, and building bridges within our community. For the summer of 2024, the CED has secured 48 paid internships in partnership with Joliet Township High School District 204 students. Participating organizations are included in the image above and we deeply appreciate their participation.

Over 350 students applied for these opportunities to kickstart their careers and make a difference. Now, we’re gearing up for an electrifying expansion – taking the program countywide for the 2025-25 school year!

Imagine the impact we can create by extending this opportunity to every high school student in Will County. From Beecher to Bolingbrook, from Crete-Monee to Joliet Central, we want to reach every corner of our county and empower our youth to dream big and achieve even bigger. We are very excited to announce that we have built an Internship Engagement Committee to help us turn this vision into reality.

This committee will be championing outreach efforts, inspiring businesses to get involved, and connecting students with life-changing opportunities—all while keeping our talented youth right here in Will County. The members of this committee will utilize their energy and devoted commitment will be the driving force behind the expansion of this program.

As this inaugural Summer of the Internship Program gets underway, we are excited for the outcomes and future opportunities for Will County’s young people.
